"Chap Goh Mei" or widely known as "Lantern Festival" in Chinese customs is celebrated on the 15th day of Chinese Lunar New Year. On this special occasion, PT Daya Kobelco CMI wants to share the festivity by celebrating this day with customers in Pekanbaru. Wherefore a reception dinner party was held on March 1st, 2011 at Premier Hotel Ballroom in Pekanbaru.

As usual a presentation of PT Daya Kobelco CMI's company profile and videos of supplementary products from PT DKCMI such as Newholland Backhoe Loader, Newholland Skid Steer Loader and Iwafuji Harvester, were showed as an opening to 185 guests who attended the party that evening. Following the opening was a ceremony called "Lau Yee Sang" adapted from Chinese tradition that symbolizes abundance, prosperity and vigor.

The dinner was satisfactory, the guests enjoyed the meal accompanied by songs played by Top 40 Band. "Barongsai" show and performances from Mandarin artists were also brought to entertain the guests in the party.

This is the first event held by PT DKCMI that combines business gathering with celebratory festival. Through this event, the company wished to solidify the relationship between PT DKCMI and the customers, and also to introduced other brand products offered for sale by PT DKCMI, beside Kobelco (Newholland and Iwafuji).
